About the project

Jeremy helped develop the bid function leadership and people, supporting repositioning them as a valued trusted advisor group to the business

The Challenge

The business had a fairly mature bid function and approach to proposals in some regions but not in others. Win rates were variable and engagement of stakeholders was mixed. There was a call from the board to drive consistent best practices across the globe.

The Solution

Jeremy coached their regional Heads of Bids, supporting them in achieving their APMP Practitioner professional qualifications as part of their journey. He then trained members of the bid team in bid writing and management skills, as well as supporting them in achieving their APMP Foundation status.

The Result

The team are now engaged in pipeline and work winning meetings by the business leadership, now seen as trusted advisors to the board members and fee earners in winning deals.

Jeremy trained me in a refresher course for the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification recently.

I found Jeremy to be both highly experienced and knowledgeable but also practical and pragmatic, in that he could use theoretical examples and apply them to the day to day experiences I face regularly. This allows me to apply the learning to my day job, making it relevant and appropriate.

Probably just as importantly, he is a thoroughly nice guy with a great sense of humour which makes him really easy to work with. He continues to help in my organisation with a planned training session on the entire sales process which will be invaluable from an independent voice providing advice and recommendations.”
